The New Banana Republic

Banana Republic announced earlier this year that Marissa Webb was going to be the new creative director for the brand. I was familiar with Marissa Webb's line so I thought this was a surprising yet exciting announcement. Having worked for the company for many years, I personally found that it was amazing that Banana Republic was finally going to take a new direction with their collections. Don't get me wrong, I definitely got a good use out of my discount over my 7 years at the retail brand but I felt like it was time for a change.
They just released their new collection and I LOVE it. You'll still see the classic silhouettes and styles you are used to seeing at Banana Republic but with a twist. Most pieces are navy, black, white, and gray and it is all about mixing the pieces, "hi-lo" styling, as they say. Here are some items that I am lusting over.

Really impressed with what she has brought to Banana so far. It had been trending really "old" lately, and her new silhouettes are so much younger and fashion-forward. I am in love with that quilted mini skirt and the gray pullover sweater. -- Jenn
