Michael Smith has been the White House decorator since 2008 and his style is the perfect blend of old world traditional with touches of casual newness. His work does remind me of another favorite interior designers of mine, Mark D Sikes (see my post about him here). He loves Chinoiserie as much as we do - you can see his love for Asian inspired decor with his use of antique furniture, art, and porcelain. And of course, I'm not hating on his use of ginger jars either.
