Do any of you follow Pantone's announcement for color of the year? The color of the year is declared each year and it is supposedly "the" color that designers and brands will be using for their products and designs. I have read several articles, blog posts, and comments about Pantone's choice for this year, and I feel like it has gotten mixed reviews. Personally, I love the color Marsala. It is described as earthy wine red that "enriches our mind, body, and soul, exuding confidence and stability". Okay, so I don't know about all that mind, body, and soul business, but it is a beautiful color. I know a lot of people probably associate wine tone colors with Fall but Marsala seems muted enough to be able to pull off year round.
Sephora and Pantone partnered to release some beauty produts related to the color of the year. I love this shade of lipstick - it would be a great neutral to add to your collection. I have been eyeing this YSL baby doll kiss & blush collection and this color is the perfect shade of Marsala.
This ASOS coat would be a great transitional piece in your closet. If you are looking to splurge a little, Tory Burch has a beautiful tote that will help you add Marsala to your wardrobe.
And of course, Marsala would be a great touch to your home decor. It has a warm and cozy element that I think would look amazing in any room. I love the color of the rug above.
How do you guys feel about Pantone's choice for 2015?
This color is very pretty! Great post! =)

I also think this color is getting way too much negativity. What's not to love about a wine red? Some people say it is too washed out to be a true "wine color" but it has that kind of lived-in look that is all the rage these days. Like a faded out burgundy almost. Count me in. --Jenn
