It's Not Too Late! Last Minute Gift Ideas

I'm all for a gift I can eat, and after some personal indulgences with the bakery at Grand Asia Market while trying to buy frozen dumplings (hey -- my man loves them) I decided that this year the dangerous mix that is an Asian pastry should be shared with my world.

These pastries are great fresh, but if you a gifting them a day or two later they can be reheated in the oven for 10 minutes on 250 degrees.  Or they are also good cold if you can't wait even 10 minutes for a hot, melt in your mouth pastry.

Just a note about Grand Asia specifically -- the bakery is separate from the grocery store, so don't do the n00b white girl thing and put all these pastries in your cart while you are shopping the store and then try to go through the main check out with your dumplings too.  Yes, you will get scolded for your poor awareness for the way things work at Grand Asia Market.  You've been warned.

The sesame seed bun pastries are filled with a sweet red bean paste that's perfect for those that like a sugary treat. The almond loaf is the most conventional choice if you are gifting to picky eaters.

If you want a great stocking stuffer or a gift tag that's just as giftable as the present it adorns, I loved these monogram tassel keychains at Target.  I thought they'd be great hooked on the arm of a crossbody purse too if you didn't need another key chain in your life.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
