Ideal Outdoor Oasis

We all have those instagram muses that seem to be just living in a different stratosphere of creative genius, and for me that's Jennifer at fleamarketfab.  Just a quick tour of her instagram feed and you'll be falling down a rabbit hole of bohemian perfection that begs you to rethink any overdesigned space of your home.  When WickerCentral.com contacted Lucy and I about partnering for a patio-inspiration post, I knew that I wanted to recreate one of my favorite of Jennifer's designs -- this earthy and inviting boho outdoor dining space.

The Inspiration:

Recreate this Look:

  • Layer miss-matched pieces of wicker furniture from WickerCentral.com to create a relaxed and modern feel.  Start with a teak wood table for rustic charm, paired with an eclectic mix of modern aesthetic wicker chairs and more traditional cane back seating.
  • Using a wicker loveseat on one side of the table allows your dining area to double as comfortable patio seating when guests are finished with the meal.
  • Accent with tribal patterned indoor/outdoor rugs and layered boho pillows in a neutral adn earthy color palate for a sophisticated take on boho style.

Rugs: 1 // 2 // 3
Accessorize: Lanterns // Woven Geo Pillow // Suzanni Pillow

Add an East Meets South Touch:
One of my favorite touches from Jennifer's look is the tassel curtain that looks very do-it-yourself.  If you aren't feeling crafty, try etsy where I found a similar tassel garland for only $20.  And  I couldn't resist throwing in a good mix of blue and white and an elephant garden stool to make the look my own.  Chinoiserie is at home with any good boho patio.

Want to join us in designing your own outdoor oasis? You are invited to enter the WickerCentral Outdoor Oasis Style Challenge too -- just post a link to your blog post in our comment section and you we'll link your design back to the contest.  Winners will be featured on The Patio next week!
