A Chinoiserie Holiday Table Setting

There is no shortage of chinoiserie love in the design world these days, and I am constantly being distracted by the most amazing tablescapes on my favorite blogs/pinterest/instagram accounts.  Here's a round up of some of my favorite ways to bring chinoiserie into your holiday table setting this year.

This Blue Danube china setting was featured as a holiday brunch table setting on Southern Living's feature for incorporating traditional china into the season via

Aerin Lauder's holiday table setting incorporates gold flatware and accents with crystal plates and glasses.  Gold and crystal blend easily with blue and white any time of year. via
Love this tie-in of coastal and Christmas where shells and starfish are used with traditional greenery to create a holiday fit for your beach-home aesthetic.  via

Ok I know this picture doesn't actually have any chinoiserie in it.  But the color palate is just perfect if you imagine a chinoiserie plate or charger instead of the white plates they are using on this table.  It would blend perfectly.  The take away for me is that if you use elegant greenery with pops of white, holiday and chinoiserie can be an easy marriage.  via

Domaine magazine featured these blue and white ikat plates with a blended Hanukkah meets Christmas setting. via
Traditional loveliness from the Enchanted Home via

And if you can find blue and white christmas china, that makes for an easy blend with your every day chinoiserie via
