Buying art is the single most daunting part of interior decorating in my book.  Art is an investment -- you want something that really speaks to you or reflects your personality or style.  For me, that means something with a good dose of whimsy that can blend with the traditional furniture and antique pieces that I love so much, and that's how I found the incredible artwork of Harrison Howard.

I love how bright and cheerful his paintings are (and of course there's no shortage of chinoiserie themes and blue and white).  Obviously they can blend beautifully in a more traditional bedroom:
